Any group arriving more than 15 minutes late cannot be guaranteed its scheduled guided program. Museum guides are not required to wait more than 15 minutes for the arrival of a group. We reserve the right to cancel your guided tour if you arrive more than 15 minutes late.
Please note that if you have a 10:15 a.m. appointment, you will not be permitted to enter the Museum until 10:00 a.m. School classes starting before 10.00 a.m. will meet their teacher in front of the museum on time.
Groups should stay together and students should walk, not run, when moving throgh and between galleries. Chaperones must remain with their group at all times.
Speak softly using "indoor voices" to avoid disturbing other visitors and tour groups.
When on a guided tour, groups are to give their full and undivided attention to the docent. Note taking or assignments by a teacher can be very disruptive to your guide.
Respect for Museum objects: Do not touch any of the objects in the museum with the exception of the hands-on exhibits. The invisible oil on your fingertips will leave a film on any surface touched. Over time, these marks will attract dust and pollutants from the air, damaging and obscuring exhibits.
The museum is handicapped accessible. All public levels of the Museum are accessible by elevators.
